Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel.  Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind).  So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me?  Pantser?  I think?  But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid.  And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly.  And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling :aww:
I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.
And I honestly don't know when it will be finished - which oddly enough brings us to the good news:
I've made a new, major decision in the SPIKE story that I think a lot of you will be happy to hear. As usual I don't want to spoil too much, but there is a part in the story where Spike and Sam are separated from each other for quite a long while. At first I was planning on only writing from Spike's point of view, like, what he's experiencing during this separation period. I figured that since he's the main cha

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME!?!?!?!

I downloaded the songs from his site and now I just listen to it over and over and over and over -

I guess it's just as the ol' saying goes, I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying every minute of it. XD

But really, I didn't even know about this thing until a couple days ago and now it just won't leave my head.

In other news, I dunno if I'll be making any arts for a while. All my technology is warring against me. You mighta noticed there was no Reign this Monday. :( My main scanner won't work, Photoshop keeps crashing on both my computers, blue screen is on my laptop..... maaaaaan.  

My goal, new laptop and the latest version of Photoshop. I'm still working with 7 and maybe it's time to upgrade. Apparently the newer versions are like totally awesome sauce, however I refuse to pirate it, so I'm gonna have to consciously set money aside for these things. I can do this! :heart:

lol, I'm gonna......go monkey with my lappy now. See if I can get it to sorta run.

Blue screens? Are you sure it's not a virus or an overheating problem? Might want to try Malwarebytes!

I'm gonna look into that Malwarebyte thing, since I don't think it's from overheating as I'll just turn it on then it goes blue screen a minute later. I hope it helps! *runs off to try it* :D

Well it takes a while to scan. If the virus shuts you down minutes afterward, you should start up your computer in Safe Mode and then scan. Safe Mode can be reached by hitting the F8 key when your computer starts up.

It does that only sometimes, I find restarting it after a BSOD and it works, although crappy. But it is enough to do a scan.

So then I did a scan with the malwarebyte and it found a couple things! So maybe now things will work a whole lot smoother.

Of course! I get lots of viruses from tv online so I learned that Norton and all those programs that say they'll inform you of viruses- are rubbish. I use 3 programs and they never fail me: CCleaner for internet history, registry errors, cookies. Malwarebytes for malware, and Spybot for spyware (which are two different things).

Happy to save someone money in computer repair :D
